Whether it's updating an old pendant's chain to bring it a new lease of life or if you want to layer up your neck-wear, having a few chains in different lengths or styles is a wardrobe essential.

When layering neck-wear, we always recommend a 3-4 inch difference between chains to allow each pendant enough room to sit nicely. For an overlapped look, you can go for a 2 inch difference between chains, or wear several chains of the same length for a stacked up look.

If you already have a beloved chain but wish it was just that little bit longer then try adding a Sterling Silver Chain Extender. This little thing is a very useful thing to have in your jewellery toolbox, add it to any chain, necklace, bracelet or anklet to add that extra bit of length.

Not sure what length you need? Check the diagram below. Note: this diagram is based on someone with a neck circumference of 12 inches, how chains fall will depend on your individual anatomy.
